Professor French Discusses Climate Change and Global Goals For Sustainable Development

June 2016

Professor Duncan French has in recent weeks been invited to attend a number of workshops to discuss contemporary global challenges.

He attended an expert workshop at Cardiff University to consider climate justice and the recently adopted Paris Agreement. He has also attended a workshop on the Global Goals at the University of West of England (UWE), in which he presented a paper on Global Goal 17: "partnerships".

Professor French commented: "it is a huge opportunity to discuss with academic colleagues and others these challenges and to reflect on how international law is facilitating change and the obstacles remaining".

Professor French's recent writings have included work on the Global Goals, localism and international environmental law and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
